Air Fryer Garlic Green Beans

Why This Is Strictly Keto
Fresh green beans, olive oil, garlic and lemon zest — nothing more. There is no breadcrumb coating, sugary glaze or canned-soup sauce as in classic green bean casseroles, and a serving has about 5g of net carbs.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh lemon zest, for garnish
Instructions
Toss: In a large bowl, toss the green beans with the olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
Load the basket: Spread the beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed. No preheating is required.
Air fry: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 7–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until blistered and crisp-tender.
Finish: Garnish with fresh lemon zest and serve hot.

Tips
- Don’t crowd the basket — a single layer gives the best blistering.
- Cook times vary by air fryer and bean thickness, so check at 6 minutes to avoid over-browning.
- Garlic powder can stand in for fresh garlic, which can brown quickly.
- Frozen green beans work but come out softer than fresh.
- Leftovers keep 4–5 days in the fridge; reheat in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes.
